Eight girls from Canning Vale College explored their future pathways today as they stepped into the world of metalwork during an inspiring Fantastic Fabrication taster at South Metropolitan TAFE – Naval Base!
They gained firsthand insight into the fabrication industry, learning welding techniques using a cutting‑edge augmented reality welding simulator that blends real‑world tools with computer‑generated precision. The results were seriously impressive, with a few students even achieving scores of 98/90!
The group also took part in VR career exploration, trying out a range of trade‑based pathways.
It was a brilliant opportunity to spark interest in future careers within a high‑demand industry!
