Library

Canning Vale College Library is home to a wealth of information. Our collection has 15,000 books, both Fiction and Non-Fiction, span a variety of genres to suit all readers. Even those readers who may find reading a challenge will find books that they will enjoy.

Our cataloguing system, AccessIt, allows students to log on individually, “like” books, write reviews, reserve books, view what books they currently have on loan and view their past loan history.

The library is responsible for issuing students their SmartRider public transport card which also doubles as a Student ID card enabling students to borrow library resources. Once students have put at least $1 on their card, (not SmartRider money; that is a separate account), they will be able to copy and/or print colour (20c) or black and white (10c). They can do this from one of the desktop computers in the library so handing in assignments in on time will never be a problem.

The library is open every Recess and Lunch breaks and students are welcome. They can read, borrow, play games, do puzzles, colour in or draw. The library also runs a Craft club for students every Thursday at Lunchtime, as well as Crochet Club which runs from 3PM every Thursday.
