Canning Vale College Library is home to a wealth of information. Our 15,000 collection of books, both Fiction and Non-Fiction, span a variety of genres to suit all readers. Even those readers who may find reading a challenge will find books that they will enjoy.
Our new cataloguing system, AccessIt, allows students to log on individually, “like” books, write reviews, reserve books, view what books they currently have on loan and view their past loan history.
We also have a new eBooks catalogue that allows students to download any of the 1,400 titles direct to their own device at no charge to them. Obviously this is available 24/7 and students can even access books over the school holidays. They can also borrow hard copy books from our library for the holidays.
The Library is responsible for issuing students their SmartRider public transport cards which also doubles as a Student ID card and is used for borrowing library resources. Once students have put some money on their cards, they are able to copy and print, colour or black and white, from one of the desktop computers so handing in assignments in on time will never be a problem.
