Uniforms

New Students

All new students are encouraged to make an appointment with the uniform shop for a fitting. Appointments can be made by logging onto www.appts-uc.as.me. Alternatively, you can contact the uniform shop on 9270 4669. Please note that the most popular times for appointments are after 3pm weekdays and Saturday mornings, so book early to avoid disappointment.

The Principal has exercised his right under the Occupation, Health and Safety Act to make the uniform compulsory. As part of their learning environment, it is essential that all students are dressed appropriately so that they can be easily identified. In order to keep the uniform streamlined all garments will only be available through our uniform shop, Uniform Concepts. All uniform items must have the school logo including shorts, pants, skirts, jackets, and tops.

CVC seeks to promote a high standard of dress and personal presentation and therefore students will not be permitted to wear excessive jewellery (no body jewellery except earrings) and are asked to keep makeup and bold hair colours to a minimum. Due to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, all students must wear closed in shoes that attach at the heel. Eg. Runners, black lace-up etc. Thongs, slip-ons, open toes and ugg boots are not permitted. Black sole shoes are not to be worn in the school gym.

Bags are the choices of students and their parents. Hats do not form part of the official college uniform, but it is recommended that students wear a hat or cap in navy blue colour, as close to the school colours as possible. Hats/beanies are not to be worn indoors. During the cooler months, students can wear either the school jacket or rugby jumper. Year 12’s are permitted to wear their leaver’s jackets. Hoodies are not permitted.

All students are expected to wear their correct tops (CVC polo shirt for Yr 7-9) (CVC shirt for Yr 10-12) under their jackets/jumpers. In the case of a student needing to wear more clothing, they can wear white or navy blue short sleeve undershirt or t-shirt (no motifs), under their school top. Coloured t-shirts with motifs, camisoles and waistbands are not uniform and therefore not to be worn during school hours. Leggings are not allowed. Stockings/tights are not to be worn under shorts.

Sports uniforms are to be worn only for sport. It is expected that students will change out of this uniform and back into their regular uniform for the remainder of classes.

If you attend school without the correct uniform you are required to go to Student Support and ask for a uniform pass. There are consequences for being out of uniform.
