In week 9, some of our Year 10 students will be attending work placement in a number of different industry areas. These include industries such as hospitality, child care, primary schools, retail, metals and engineering.

Students took part in a workplace induction at school on Wednesday which included OHS in the workplace and expectations in the workplace.  McDonalds’ Development Managers attended the induction to provide a presentation on employer’s expectations in the workplace.  This was very valuable to the students so they can get an idea of best practices in both work placement and paid employment.

Work placement is of value to the students to get an idea of particular industries for future career aspirations and possible employment opportunities.  They can also use their logbooks for applications for TAFE courses, University and Employment.
