On Monday, 1 November 2021, the Year 11 Modern History students, ATAR and General, attended the Holocaust institute. Students watched some documentaries and looked at some clothing and photos from that era. The use of primary sources was engaging, including listening to a second generation survivor talk about his Mother’s life during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. This was the part that the students found most interesting. They were also given the opportunity to explore how they would pack if they were being moved into a ghetto; what things they thought would be important and why they would take those items.
