Our Year 11 Drama students had the audience in fits of laughter on Tuesday night with their performance of ‘Othello – A Tragic Comedy in way too many Acts.’
The script, written by Christine Harvey and Anna Kidd is an adaptation but definitely not Shakespeare’s version. The audience laughed their way through this tragedy-turned-comedy, even with the egotistical and manipulating Lago directing the blindly-trusting Othello and his friends into destruction. Unlike the original play, nobody dies; they just kick the bucket…literally!
