Last Friday seven of our Student Councillors Krina, Aria, Jessica, Courtney, Farah, Linta and Amritha took part in a design consultation meeting with Terry Healy MLA Southern River. The topic of the discussion was the new $2 million Southern River Youth Plaza.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to discuss what teens and young people want as local facilities in our area. Three years ago Mr Healy met with our Student Council, along with the Youth Minister and Matt Keogh MP, Federal Member for Burt which led them towards the idea of developing the Youth Plaza in the first place.
