Last week, Year 9 Languages students were able to use their Italian and Indonesian language skills as part of an excursion to a restaurant. Italian students ate lunch together at Bistro Bellavista while their Indonesian counterparts ate at Batavia Corner.

Our Italian students were impressed with the quantity and variety of pasta dishes and pizzas as well as being treated to tiramisù for dessert.

Students at Batavia Corner ordered their meals at the counter in Indonesian and choose between a variety of meals from nasi kuning with tempeh and urap vegetables to mie goreng with chicken or beef rendang and nasi goreng. They tried a sweet martabak for dessert combing pancake, nuts, chocolate and cheese for a very distinct flavour combination.

Students were amazing representatives for CVC and used their excellent communication skills to impress the staff at both venues.
