Last Friday 15 March, our Year 11 General Geography students attended their fieldwork excursion to Perth Hills in Mundaring.
Students began the day examining the levels of vegetation, soils, rainfall and management strategies of the Jarrah forest. They then spent some time in the field identifying and sketching different flora species.
Students then had an animal encounter with some of our native wildlife such as Lucy the Echidna, Peter the Woylie and baby red kangaroo joeys. To finish the day students learned about the Western Shield Project and completed some measurements on their animals.
