Last Friday our 9 and 10 Italian Language students attended an excursion at the Laguna Veneto Bocce Club. They learnt how to play bocce from some of the wonderful volunteers at the club and many students showed impressive skills. Students then enjoyed a wonderful lunch of pasta Bolognese, bread and some Italian cheeses. Finished off with gelato, of course!
Students also participated in a quiz and learnt how to play an Italian card game called Briscola. At the end of the day, they then helped celebrate the club secretary’s birthday by singing ‘Tanti Auguri’ (Happy Birthday).
