Last Friday 11th August the CVC Future Pathways team arranged for our Year 9 students to attend the Construction Futures Centre to explore different careers in the Construction Industry.  The centre is a career development facility, using AR, VR, simulators and interactive activities.

Students enjoyed discovering different roles in the industry including crane and machinery simulators, using kinetic sand to create commercial and residential building sites, and exploring para-professional careers.

In addition to this, some of our Year 9 students recently took part in a Career Taster Program involving Bricklaying at SMATFE Thornlie. Supported by our D&T teacher, our students thoroughly enjoyed getting a real, hands-on, experience in the Bricklaying industry.
