On Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th August our Year 12 Drama students performed “The Murder at the Murder Mystery” by Brian D Taylor, to a crowd of friends, family and staff.
The script follows the players at The Murder Mystery Playhouse who are rehearsing a new show, Putting a Little English On It. It’s a not-so-good attempt at a British murder mystery, complete with cheesy dramatic music and British accents. As expected at the final dress rehearsal, the lights go out and a character dies onstage — only this murder wasn’t in the script!
The Cast of Year 12 students have been working hard to transform into their role this Term, learning lines while getting their hands dirty in set construction (with the help of D&T teacher Mr Gobby). They have had a lot of fun preparing for their final production here at CVC.
The two performances went off with a bang, there is nothing like performing to a live audience.
