On Friday the 21st of May, Year 10 Science and STEM students took part in the Science and Engineering Challenge (SEC). The challenge is a whole day event, where students from eight schools compete by solving hands on engineering problems.

Students were placed into groups of 3 or 4 and took part in activities involving bridge building, turbines, earthquake resistant towers, hovercrafts, biomechanics, and communications.

The bridge building and hovercraft challenge were day long events and Canning Vale College students were successful in winning both challenges!

All Canning Vale College students in attendance displayed great teamwork and were an excellent representative of the college throughout the event.
