CVC Teacher visits Mid-Western American High School
HASS teacher Jaspal Singh, who is a frequent and avid traveler, visited an American High School during his latest visit to the USA during the last spring holidays. Mr Singh will be having a sabbatical year off from work at CVC during 2019 and will be spending this time traveling around South American and the USA. In particular he will be living in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Jaspal used this visit to establish some links with a high school in the Green Bay area and approached Michelle Jacobson, Principal of Green Bay West High School, who kindly offered to give him a tour of the school. Green Bay West High School, who are known as the Wildcats, is a co-ed public (government) high school catering for over 900 students in Years 9-12. The school offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) program that aims to prepare students for both further education and employment.
Jaspal thoroughly enjoyed his visit of the school and kindly donated an Australian flag to a Social Studies teacher, Pamela Sylvester, to use in her class.
