90 Plus Club Afternoon Tea Celebration
On Wednesday 14th February, Canning Vale College hosted an afternoon tea in celebration of those students and their families who achieved outstanding academic performance in their Year 12 2017 WACE exams.
We are proud to have achieved an Attainment Rate of 99% in 2017 (students obtaining a Certificate II or higher or an ATAR of 55 or higher). Our 78.48 median ATAR achieved was the highest in our schools history! 16 of our students, who achieved an ATAR score of 90+, were congratulated at the Afternoon Tea Celebration.
The celebration was also for current Year 12 students who have achieved excellent results in Year 11 ATAR courses and have received a predicated Year 12 ATAR score of 90 or above.
As I reiterated in my opening address, there is a traditional African Proverb: “It takes a whole village to raise a child.” This village comprises of parents and teachers, and the village town is called Canning Vale College. Each of the citizens in this village have played a positive role in shaping student achievements throughout their learning journey at school. Thank you to all the teaching staff and parents for supporting the development of our high achievers.
