TWO YR11 CVC VISUAL ART STUDENTS SELECTED FOR ECU VISUAL ART SHORT COURSE
Juan and Lucas alongside one of their collaborative works
At the end of Term 2 Year 11 CVC students Juan Arellano Rivas and Lucas Tan took part in a week-long intensive Visual Arts course in collaboration with the Faculty of Visual Arts at Edith Cowan University Mt. Lawley.
Over the week the pair were given access to the entirety of the Visual Arts facilities and staff, lectures and undertook daily sessions in Visual Arts and its associated theory. They also completed a myriad of activities aimed at pushing their understandings and technical skills both individually and as a partnership.
Working alongside current tertiary level students and faculty staff Juan and Lucas received a detailed insight into the rigours and requirements placed onto students in the Arts at the highest level as well as University life in general. Upon successful completion of the intensive course, Juan and Lucas have received advanced standing accreditation from Edith Cowan University which will allow them to streamline their entrance into University in the future.
We received nothing but praise from faculty staff, technicians and even the Dean of Arts, well done Lucas and Juan.
