On Friday 13th September our Year 12 Student Councillors were given the opportunity to be a part of a historic occasion, the Commencement of Works on the Thornlie Cockburn-Link Canning Vale Train Stations.

CVC students were joined by student representatives from a number of other local primary and high schools, as well as CVC 2018 head boy and girl Justin Melling & Munashe Faneti ,Terry Healy MLA Southern River, Yaz Mubarakai MLA Jandakot and the Honourable Rita Saffioti MLA Minister for Transport and Planning.

Metronet and these train stations will form a core park of the future of the young people of our area and it is important that our local young people be a part of the Commencement of Works for the project.
